FILM NOIR

These works are part of a series of photos taken with an iPhone using a Black & White Photo app.  These images stem from my love of vintage film noir, black and white films from the 1930's.  They were taken quickly as the film was on view - from the many shots I took I believe I was successful in appropriating a mere two dozen stills.  I'm captivated by the directors of this period and with the camera angles used along with the mood, mystery and simplicity they evoke.
